    What you need to know

    • YouTube TV Plans are officially rolling out to consumers this week, though it will extend over “several weeks” before everyone has it.
    • Plans include a Sports plan for $64.99/month and an Entertainment plan for $54.99/month; however, there are combo plans that combine even more content.
    • YouTube TV states these plans are provided at prices lower than what you’d get from its main $82.99/month package.

We had it teased in December, and teased again in January by YouTube’s CEO; now the service’s new TV Plans are here.

This morning (Feb 9), YouTube TV announced that its “TV Plans” are finally here, as they’ll begin rolling out “this week” for consumers. The whole idea behind these TV Plans was to give consumers more control over what they view on its streaming service, and we’re now seeing exactly what that means for pricing.

The main chunk, which is the YouTube TV plan, will reportedly remain at $82.99/month w/100+ networks across genres.

What some viewers have been clamoring for is its Sports plan. YouTube TV officially states that this plan will be offered at $64.99/month or $54.99/month for new users (new users meaning their “first year”). This plan was teased previously, but YouTube Tv builds on it, stating you’ll get content from “major broadcasters,” alongside “FS1, NBC Sports Network, all of the ESPN networks, and ESPN Unlimited (coming this fall).”

There’s also an Entertainment Plan for $54.99/month, or $44.99/month for new users. New consumers grabbing this one are only eligible for this lowered price for the “first three months.” In here, you’ll receive content from Hallmark and FX to Comedy Central, Bravo, Paramount, Food Network, HGTV, and more.

These are the following combo plans:

    • Sports/News Plan $71.99/month, or $56.99/month for new users (first three months): everything in the Sports package, plus CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and more.
    • News/Entertainment/Family Plan $69.99/month, or $59.99/month for new users (first three months): everything in news and entertainment, plus Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, PBS Kids, and more.

YouTube TV wants to give you choice

YouTube TV says subscribers will have access to DVR, multiview, key plays, and add-ons, such as NFL Sunday Ticket and RedZone, HBO Max, 4K Plus, and more.

A couple of weeks ago, YouTube’s CEO Neal Mohan teased that multiview was going to expand; however, that 2026 outlook post mentioned these TV Plans. They were described as “cheaper, genre-based subscription plans” that consumers can take advantage of.

Even in YouTube’s announcement post, it highlights how many of these plans range from $28 to $11 cheaper than its main YouTube TV bundle. While this new direction for the service is rolling out this week, the post states it’ll be an ongoing process. Over the “next several weeks,” YouTube TV states it will roll out “10 plus plans across Sports, News, Entertainment, and Family content, priced lower than the main YouTube TV Plan.”

    Android Central’s Take

On the surface, YouTube TV Plans feel like a good move, especially for people who don’t want everything—especially not at that higher price. At least, with this avenue, users have the choice to make a choice, customize their viewing options, and enjoy themselves. We’ve ditched satellite and cable for streaming, after all, right? Might as well bring those old fashioned customization options to the new age of content viewing.
