While not yet official, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup at an Unpacked event later this month. It teased the Galaxy S26’s rumored new Privacy display feature last week. The company is now following up with a series of short teaser videos highlighting the upcoming flagship’s imaging capabilities.

The first teaser video highlights the phone’s night video capabilities, showing a DJ performing in a dimly lit setting. Paired with the caption “Light up your night,” the clip suggests the next Galaxy will focus on delivering brighter, clearer videos in low-light conditions.

The second teaser also hints at improved low-light video recording capabilities, as it shows a woman dancing with fireworks in her hand at night.

The third teaser shifts focus to the phone’s zoom capabilities in a deliberately playful way, showing the camera zooming in on a car to reveal a bulldog wearing glasses in the backseat.

All three short videos show a silhouette of the Galaxy S26’s rear cameras and end with “AI phone” branding.

Samsung has previously highlighted the camera performance of its upcoming flagships through similar teaser videos. While they might seem impressive, they are adverts, and the final results will be different.

Wider aperture should help improve low-light imaging

Still, it’s clear that Samsung is focusing on improving the zoom and low-light capabilities of the Galaxy S26 lineup this year. A rumored brighter f/1.5 aperture for the main camera, a faster f/2.9 aperture for the 5x telephoto lens, coupled with processing enhancements, should help deliver those gains.

The wider apertures would reportedly be the most noticeable upgrades Samsung will make to its flagship Galaxy phone’s cameras in years.

Unfortunately, this improvement will only come to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, with the non-Ultra models apparently sticking to the same rear cameras as their predecessors.

Reports indicate Samsung will add Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec support to the Galaxy S26 family. This should allow for greater flexibility while editing the video later on.

With the Galaxy S26’s rumored launch event just three weeks away, Samsung should officially send out the invites for the first Unpacked event of the year later this week or early next week.
