Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup has been the subject of numerous leaks in recent weeks. The latest rumor now claims to reveal the battery capacity of the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
In a post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a 5,000mAh (or larger) battery in China.
Meanwhile, the international variant is said to pack a slightly bigger battery, likely in the 5,100–5,200mAh range. The tipster claims that the phone will offer improved battery life thanks to the new 2nm A20 Pro chipset.
The difference in battery capacity is due to the China-specific model featuring a physical SIM slot, while most international versions will only get eSIM. For context, the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a physical SIM slot packs a 4,832mAh battery, whereas the eSIM variant gets a slightly larger 5,088mAh cell.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup this September, reportedly skipping the standard iPhone 18 models, a notable departure from its usual launch strategy.
