Why you can trust Android Central Our expert reviewers spend hours testing and comparing products and services so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about how we test. Let’s be brutally honest here: $799 is a lot to pay for a pair of headphones in a world that is seeing significant economic shifts that make it difficult for ordinary, everyday people to survive, much less thrive. So, it may come as a surprise that, according to research, when times are tough, people tend to cope by leaning more heavily on live music, in-home entertainment, and other…
I’m another late convert to using Obsidian for note-taking, and while I haven’t stuffed it full of that many plugins yet, I’ve been enjoying having a place to keep notes that isn’t linked to yet another cloud service I don’t own. I’ve added Claude Code to organize my notes and sketch out content ideas, but there’s only so much talking to an LLM that I can stand, and sometimes I like to have another human talk through my notes. Something like Google Docs, where I can invite people in to collab, kick them out when I’m done, and see each…
You open YouTube for a minute to figure out a plumbing problem. One hour later, you’re halfway through a documentary on creatures that live in the ocean’s depths. Trust me, it’s not you. We all blame ourselves, but the app is engineered to pull you in like this. You can take back control without uninstalling the app. I adjusted a couple of settings, and YouTube went from a time sink to an actual tool. Here’s the step-by-step. YouTube is a bottomless soup bowl Credit: Lucas Gouveia / Android Police In 2005, researcher Brian Wansink ran a famous experiment with bottomless soup…
A good wallpaper is timeless, but maybe you want something fresh and right out of the factory. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series brings a few of the newest devices in the industry, and they are bound to be among the most popular, too. Whether you buy one or not, you can still enjoy these devices’ wallpapers. We have them for you here (courtesy of our friends at YTECHB)!Things are pretty simple with the new Samsung Galaxy S26 wallpapers. They share the same design, featuring an abstract, minimalist “S”. The only difference among the wallpapers is the color. There is a…
Samsung and the State of Texas have reached a settlement agreement over the alleged unlawful collection of content-viewing information through its smart TVs As part of the agreement, the TV manufacturer will revise its privacy disclosures to clearly explain its data collection and processing practices to consumers. Last December, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against several TV manufacturers, including Samsung, alleging that they use Automated Content Recognition (ACR) technology to collect and process viewing data without first obtaining their express, informed consent. In January, Texas obtained a short-lived temporary restraining order (TRO) against Samsung to stop the…
If you’ve been eyeing a Hyrox race, but weren’t sure how to train for one, Peloton may have just solved your problem. The fitness platform announced today the launch of a 12-week Hyrox training program, timed specifically for athletes preparing for the upcoming Hyrox NYC events taking place May 28-31 and June 4-7, 2026. And if you’re not racing in New York, don’t worry—the program lives in Peloton’s library for all members, meaning you can start it 12 weeks out from any Hyrox event on your calendar. What is Hyrox, anyway? Before diving into the program, a quick primer for the uninitiated. Anthropic’s Claude Code assistant has been abused in a cyberattack against the Mexican government’s systems, Israeli cybersecurity startup Gambit Security reports. As part of the attack, ten Mexican government bodies and a financial institution were compromised, beginning with the country’s tax authority in late December 2025. Based on the analyzed attacker logs, Gambit assesses that over 1,000 prompts were sent to Claude Code to mount the attacks, and that information was also passed to OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 for analysis. “AI didn’t just assist, it functioned as the operational team: writing exploits, building tools, automating exfiltration,” Gambit explains. The attacker bypassed the…
Setting up a fresh Linux system and getting it ready for your work can sometimes be a tedious time sink. It’s why I have this 5-step approach to making it as fast as I can. Run a system update You might have noticed that whenever you see instructions to install something using a package manager, the documentation or the tutorial include a little update command like sudo apt update. Why is that? Sometimes, when you run a command to install an app, it might return an error. Something like “package not found” or “unable to fetch.” If that happens, it…
Having multiple monitors is like a dream come true, especially if you’re trying to increase your productivity or keep up with the increased hustle and bustle of daily life. I’ve been using a dual-monitor setup since building my PC in 2020, and over the years, I’ve come across a few additional programs that I’ve added to my arsenal to make using them even better. For the longest time, I just used them as they were out of the box, plug-and-play. No additional software is needed. But over time, programs have been recommended to me that make my dual-monitor setup more…
