Sonos was riding pretty high until it decided to do an unnecessary revamp of its app. It’s been a couple of years, but the brand has yet to recover. But that doesn’t mean that its products are bad. It just needs more time and some great moves in order to bring it back into consumers’ good graces.

We find it hard to ignore Sonos products whenever they see a proper discount. Sure, at its MSRP the prices are fair, but we like to save, even if we’re investing in something that’s worth every penny at retail. With that said, the Sonos Era 100 are now just a touch under their usual price, coming in at $179.

A great way to start filling your rooms with sound

Pretty much any type of speaker will do if you’re looking to fill your home or office with sound. But if you want something that really adds some atmosphere, then the Sonos Era 100 is going to be it. Sonos has a fairly complete lineup of smart speakers, so the products can grow to easily meet your needs.

The Sonos Era 100 is one of its more affordable models, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deliver when it comes to sound and features. In fact, in our review, we loved the Era 100, praising its terrific sound quality when compared to its size. You can customize the sound to your liking using the app, and you can even connect using different sources.

The primary method, though, will be through wireless using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and you can use apps from different devices to stream music or sounds from compatible devices. The setup is super simple, and you can even put multiple together to get a more robust experience. The speakers will even auto-calibrate themselves to the room they are placed in, which is a nice touch.

For most people, this speaker is going to be the complete package. We like it at its usual price, but it’s even easier to recommend now that it’s on sale. So if you’ve been thinking about buying some new speakers, give the Sonos Era 100 a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The Sonos Era 100 is the official successor to the ultra-popular Sonos Play:1 and Sonos One speakers, integrating two side-firing speakers and a woofer to improve the sound over its predecessors. With support for Bluetooth and line-in, along with upgraded internals and a slightly higher $249 price tag, this is the upgrade people have been waiting for.
