It’s not uncommon to explore different ways to store your data. While the cloud is a frequent go-to option because it’s just so convenient, a lot of folks have been looking for alternate solutions with similar functionality in order to save money in the long run.

Naturally, you can go with a connected storage solution, or something more fleshed out like a NAS. As you might suspect, we like the latter option more, since it provides a lot more longevity when it comes to the life of the product.

    TerraMaster is a solid choice

Now, we know there are plenty of options to choose from if you’re looking to go with a NAS. We recently highlighted Ugreen’s 4-bay NAS, but we think this 2-bay NAS from TerraMaster is also a good choice if you’re on a tighter budget.

The F2-425 model is powered by an Intel quad-core chip and 4GB of RAM, while also providing room for upgrades. We personally upgraded the RAM on your test unit and felt that it made a huge improvement.

While this upgrade won’t be vital for most people, it will be a good way to go if you’re looking to use the NAS for more than just storage. Speaking of storage, this model can handle up to 60TB total, which should be enough for most people.

Like many NAS, this one is compatible with a range of devices, making it a versatile piece of hardware that’s great for all kinds of uses. We love the idea of storing all our data on this NAS and just being able to access it from any device. It can become your media server, or you can even use it for more ambitious reasons.

Perhaps the best part about the TerraMaster F2-425 right now is that it’s down to its lowest price ever, coming in with a steep discount that knocks $60 off. It might not sound like a lot, but again, this is the best price we’ve seen on this model. So get it while you can, and check out some of the other deals we’ve spotted during Amazon’s Big Spring Sales event.
