Robot vacuums have improved exponentially over the past few years, but one issue that remains is the mop. The biggest problem is that there’s just one mop pad to work with. The robot vacuum drags the same wet pad through your kitchen, your bathroom, and your living room. If you have hardwood in one room, tile in another, or a grease-splattered area near the stove, everything gets the same treatment. MOVA is addressing this concern with the MOBIUS 60, the winner of the CES Innovation Award in 2026.

The headline feature is the MopSwap™ Hub, with three different mop pad types housed in the base station. The robot swaps out the mops depending on what needs to be cleaned, with each engineered for specific surfaces and messes. And, of course, the MOBIUS 60 has all the other features and capabilities you’d expect from a flagship robot vacuum. Here’s what you need to know.

The MopSwap™ Hub features three specialized pads

If you have a kitchen with tile floors near the stove, you’ve likely seen grease and food splatter build up over time. In this case, the MOBIUS 60 reaches for the ThermoHold Mop, a pad built with a phase-change thermal material that retains warmth during mopping, with the residual heat helping break down grease.

And for rooms with solid hardwood floors, the robot deploys the Plush Mop, made with ultra-fine, ultra-soft fibers designed specifically to clean and polish delicate surfaces without leaving water marks or micro-scratches. If you have bamboo or composite wood flooring, this is the best pad for the job.

And for everything else, like your hallway, the laundry room, the bathrooms, the HyperClean Mop handles multi-surface daily cleaning. It’s a composite fiber pad built to be versatile, covering a wide range of floors efficiently and getting into corners where debris likes to hide.

Of course, the MOBIUS 60 isn’t lugging around three different mop setups everywhere it goes. It returns to its base station between rooms to swap them out, so the grime from your kitchen isn’t carried to your bathroom. The system uses AI to intelligently detect each room’s environment and automatically select the optimal pad for hands-free convenience

It’s one of the biggest hygiene concerns with traditional robot mop designs, and MOVA has built a mechanical solution to address it.

The dual rotary mop system runs at 260 RPM with 12N of downward pressure. The FlexiPress Mop Pad™ system adds another layer of precision with the pad holder able to move up 0.07 inch (2mm) and down 0.03 inch (1mm), and tilt up to 5 degrees to maintain consistent contact on uneven floor surfaces. The MOBIUS 60 won’t just be scrubbing and mopping in a straight line, but will actively adapt to any uneven surfaces.

30,000Pa suction with auto carpet boost

The MOBIUS 60 is also a flagship vacuum. The Dynamic Suction Retention System tops out at 30,000Pa of suction power, putting it firmly in the high-performance tier of robot vacuums. With canister-vacuum-level power available, the MOBIUS 60 should have no trouble handling dust or debris.

It can also handle carpet cleaning with ease, something that many other robot vacuums struggle with. An automatic pressure-retention baffle lowers when the MOBIUS 60 detects it’s on a rug or carpet, forming a semi-sealed space underneath. This concentrates the suction, making it significantly more effective at pulling out embedded dust, pet hair, and fine debris from deep within the carpet fibers. If you have a pet that sheds, this feature will make a huge difference.

The StepMaster™ System crosses obstacles up to 3.15 inches high

If you’ve ever watched your robot vacuum helplessly bump into a threshold, get stuck on a bath mat edge, or sit spinning uselessly in front of a charging cable, you are probably used to watching the vacuum like a hawk so it doesn’t get stuck. The MOBIUS 60 takes a different approach that gives you a true hands-free experience.

The StepMaster™ System 2.0 uses retractable robotic legs that physically lift the chassis to cross obstacles. It can cross door tracks, furniture legs, raised thresholds, and steps up to 3.15 inches (8cm) high in a double-step configuration, or up to 2 inches (5cm) with a single step. This kind of obstacle-crossing capability means the robot can actually move around your home with ease, without getting stranded in random areas.

On the obstacle-avoidance side, the MOBIUS 60 uses 3D structured-light AI to identify and navigate around more than 240 types of objects. It can spot and route around phone charging cables, power strips, socks, slippers, and even the toys your kids might have left in the middle of the floor. Built-in LED lights provide extra illumination, helping catch debris and obstacles in darker areas of the house without missing anything.

FlexScope™ Navigation cleans under low furniture

Another highlight of the MOBIUS 60 is its FlexScope™ Navigation system with a retractable DToF (Direct Time of Flight) sensor. The sensor retracts when the robot needs to glide under low-clearance furniture, like the gap under your TV console, the space beneath your sofa, or the underside of kitchen cabinets.

With just 3.52 inches (89.5mm) of height clearance, the MOBIUS 60 can reach areas that taller conventional vacuums can’t. The robot maps these low spaces, cleans them, and returns to base without incident.

This pairs well with the MaxiReach™ corner system, an extendable side brush and mop that can reach up to 1.57 inches (4cm) further than standard models. This provides excellent all-round coverage when cleaning areas like baseboards and tight corners.

The Base Station washes, dries, empties, and refills automatically

    mova mobius 60 7

The All-in-One Base Station completes the MOBIUS 60’s flagship package. Apart from holding and swapping out mop pads, it does everything else you’d need to enjoy a completely hands-off experience for weeks.

When the robot returns after a mopping session, the base station washes its mop pads with hot water at 212°F (100°C) using a PTC heating system, removing up to 99.9% of stains from the pads. The hot water is paired with UV sterilization that eliminates 99.99% of bacteria. After washing, the mop pads are dried at 60°C using hot air via the OmniDry System to prevent mold and odor buildup, a common problem with basic robots that leave wet pads sitting in the dock.

The base station also handles automatic dust emptying into a 3.2-liter dust bag that can go up to 100 days between replacements. It refills the robot’s water tank automatically. And with the DuoSolution™ System, it can dispense two different cleaning solutions, one for general everyday cleaning and one for targeted use cases like wood floor care or pet odor removal.

This means you could run the MOBIUS 60 on a schedule, leave for work, and come home to floors that have been cleaned, mopped, and maintained without any human intervention.

    App control with Alexa integration

    mova mobius 60 8

You can use the MOVAhome app to handle scheduling, zone-based cleaning, and per-room customization. You can designate which mop pad to use in each room, set no-go zones, and configure different suction and mopping intensity levels for different areas.

Alexa compatibility means you can kick off a cleaning cycle hands-free, which is useful if you want the robot running while you’re cooking dinner and don’t want to stop what you’re doing to find your phone.

The AI room detection is smart enough that, for most setups, you’re mostly confirming the map it builds rather than manually labelling each room and area. Rooms are identified and labeled, and can be scheduled individually. So if you only need the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned on Tuesday but want a full sweep on weekends, you can set that up in a few taps.

Get the MOVA MOBIUS 60 now!

The MOBIUS 60 feels like a genuine category-defining product. The MopSwap™ Hub solves a real, annoying problem that anyone who has mopped their floors with robot vacuums has run into. It makes sense for mixed-surface homes in particular, where you might have a combination of hardwood, tile, carpet, and area rugs.

The specs are also impressive across the board: 30,000Pa suction, a 3.15-inch (8cm) obstacle-crossing system, the ability to recognize more than 240 objects, and a base station that handles all maintenance.

If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that can handle everything and do so properly, the MOVA MOBIUS 60 should be at the top of your list. The MOBIUS 60 is available now, usually priced at $1,299 in the US. But until April 7, you can pick one up for $1,099 through the MOVA website or Amazon.

It’s also available in Canada, priced at $1,799, but is currently on sale for $300 off. You can purchase it through the official MOVA website or Amazon CA.
