Timi has been writing about technology for over a decade, focusing on smartphones, computers, and anything that he finds interesting in the space. He started writing for XDA, covering all things mobile, but has transitioned to covering deals, with a mission to shed light on some of the best discounts around the internet on the greatest tech products.

We’ve seen the prices of computing hardware rise over the past couple of months. And while the prices could eventually come down, it’s not exactly a great time to upgrade. With that said, if you spot a good deal on storage or RAM, there’s a pretty good chance that it becomes an instant no-brainer considering the circumstances.

Those looking for portable storage will be happy to hear that Walmart now has Samsung’s T7 portable SSD with 2TB of storage for just $159. That’s one of the cheapest prices that we’ve seen for this model in some time, making it a great time to pick one up. The only catch is that you have to pick it up locally at your nearest Walmart.

    It’s all about location

The first thing you’re going to want to check for this promotion is to see if the store closest to you has this drive available. Walmart is not shipping these out from its warehouse, so you will need to find stock in order to take advantage of this price.

If you manage to find it, be sure to pop it into your cart and check out as soon as possible. We’ve seen this deal go in and out of stock, so securing the product is your next best step. The Samsung T7 is a fantastic portable SSD that provides lots of storage in a compact size.

This particular model has been around for a while and has been tested thoroughly and found to be quite reliable. When it comes to the performance, you can expect read speeds that top out at 1,050MBs, with write speeds coming in at 1,000MB/s.

This drive is great for backups, and can even be used to record video on the fly with certain devices. The drive features excellent durability as well. For the most part, you can’t go wrong here. The Samsung T7 is an easy portable SSD to pick up if you need something new.
